I believe him but I'm not sure I can put 50-100h in the game for the CHANCE of it getting better. Not if the first 50h were a literal chore.
lol f that
I think the games combat is far below mediocre and space combat is bad. Combat is boring and characters often just stand, are stuck in animation, dont know what to do or randomly jump around and even on hardest you can stand still and pop shots at most enemies since the combat AI is completely broken.
Space combat is passable, but mostly bland and very dumbed down.
Also there is no free flying around between moons/planets/locations at all. You always teleport/fast travel. -No free roaming and exploration in this game-
Outpost is what ive spent a lot of hours on also, and it is incredibly bad, along with planet design itself.
You land on a planet/moon and it will create a closed area you cannot leave and generates random generic "locations" to explore. After two to four planets they offer you absolutely nothing of interest. Making outposts to get specific materials in my opinion is extremely tedius and once i found out i cant properly link everything by making a centralized storage unit to distribute from, to far off worlds, i just felt like it is a colossal waste of time.
I build a lot in my games and i think Starfields outpost system is pure garbage.
Adding onto the already uninteresting exploration and this is a major step down from fallout 3 even. Like does Bethesda not know that what makes their games so great is how well put together the world is and how easy it is to get lost in the landscape? You cant get lost in the landscape when the landscape is dirt, dust, and trees with the same 3 caves and bases on them.
I'll still play it on gamepass, but man am I glad they refunded me the constellation edition. And if I still cant get into it at least No Mans Sky is still regularly updated with new content.
I had the same thought when I read posts like this. The person is trying to force his enjoyment of the game by grinding through it. That's not a hobby, that's straight up addiction.
It is really not interesting game and these are 23 year old mechanics that honestly should be revised
