I've spent alot of time in UC space though. I've had one chance to use it in dialogue when speaking to bounty hunters and its just a throw away line.
The UCSEC troopers will comment on the record and remind me not to cause trouble.
I found it disappointing you couldn't use the background when Sergeant Yumi in Security Recruitment asks for your previous experience, bounty hunter surely would fit the role well.
Also, does the extra / different dialogue do anything? Or is it just 1 extra sentence each time, but the end result of the conversation is the same?
They can alter the outcomes, making things easy to pass for or possibly getting paid more for a mission.
I'm thinking of doing a Corpo style Ronin run next time with the Neon background - I'm a pistols specialist at the moment but looking at doing a melee/sniper run next time round.
Good luck, true sniper rifles are pretty rare.
I THO it was just skill class
It's nothing game changing. So far all it's done is net me some extra credits at the end of a particular activity.
Ill try to be vague to avoid spoilers.
2 were with bounty hunters in cities
1 was on a mission and automatically let me board the ship to negotiate their "surrender".
Honestly I like it so far.
I also went UC native/kids stuff/Dream Home
UC Native does get used, I have used it like 6 or 7 times so far. 1 Noticeable free item from it so far. UC Vendor prices also seem better iirc I can buy an item for face value (a 35 credit digipick costs me 35 credits)
