But these forums sure do..
Adjust your settings, turn of Motion blur if you haven't already
Or maybe go see a doctor as (honestly) it could be a symptom of something else like an inner ear infection and stuff.
I've played a bit over 30 hours without any motion sickness issues yet. The first things I did on being able to play the game are:
Worth noting that I have been gaming for a VERY long time, and I didn't start having motion sickness issues until I was older (early 30's). So even if you don't normally experience the issue when gaming, you could be changing.
If you aren't used to first-person gaming it takes at least 20 hours to get used to it.
I don't think it's the visuals. The game looks amazing on my computer.
However, in some areas the camera view can make you sick. It doesn't have the best indoor environments even for third-person view. And all of the details and tiny items that you have to hunt around for makes matters worse.
Will do, thanks
Motion blur is off - check. I am very prone to motion sickness also lol.
Watch the mountains in the background and the whole world bounces a few mils.
For Skyrim and Fallout 4 and ESO have to wait for anti nausea mods to get released then your good to go, otherwise no fov change or other settings will make a difference.
ESO had settings but they never worked, the whole earth shakes moves and bounces every time you take a step.
Maybe if we ask nicely enough the kind people who made those mods for FO4 and SKYrim can get an early start for a Starfield anti head-bob/ anti nausea mod.
Recoil from weapons esp auto weapons as well shakes the world and the screen with horrific micro stutters.
No Recoil mods for those of us who are inflicted with permanent motion sickness problems and concussive injuries from active duty appreciate such things..

The number one effect that causes motion sickness in games is "screen shake" or "head bob". When the screen shakes up and down while you walk or run around. It is even worse when mining materials cause then the whole screen shakes erratically. They have even added it in third person mode in this game which is unusual for third person mode.
There is no option to remove this effect in the game right now and sadly I don't think there will ever be, because people complained about it in Fallout 4 too but they never added the option to turn it off. Maybe some modders can do something, but don't hope too much yet.
Starfield doesn't actually have all of that much camera shake outside of piloting the Starship (which can be disabled with a quick ini edit). What you are talking about isn't screen shake, it's head bob. Slight distinction. And it's also not all that bad in Starfield. It can be bypassed by playing in 3rd person ( but that's less than ideal, I agree).
Yes, low FOV can also make you feel nauseous. Usually when the FOV is set lower than 90. I do not disagree with that. Luckily the FOV can be changed in this game with mods or text file editing. But when it comes to Screen shake effects or Head bob, there have been many articles about it and even studies which show how it makes people motion sick and in the main culprit for most people. Just because you don't get affected by it does not mean others don't. Usually it starts to affect people more after a certain age, according to the study it was alot after 30 years old if I remember correctly.
This game has head bobbing when you walk or run, more than enough to affect people who get motion sick by it, it also has camera shaking when you are mining as an example. In real life the brain adjusts for moving around, you don't see the world hopping up and down when you walk about.
Games that have head bob effects are basically giving you the same effect you get when on a boat, things moving around without you doing it and your sense of balance get tricked and you get motion sick. I don't mind it as long as there is a toggle to turn it off, it is unbelievable neglect that this games has neither a fov slider or a toggle for something like head bob and camera shake effects.
