No.
Which would be ridiculous for a game that people suddenly hate.
But, the rpg stuff, the quests, exploration, etc? It's exactly what I expected and I love it.
What RPG stuff? this game is void from it.
I do however agree that it was a very ambitious game and that they made the scope to large, they should have narrowed it down and focused more on quality, even more so when they don´t actually have seemlessly flying, but hub to hub fast travel.
Star Citizen have used around 500 million, but lets be honest here, we should not compare them, since they are not that a like.
Most games don´t reach this amount, unless they are mmoRPGs.
This game has to really sell well to make a profit.
???
I have been flying around surveying planets for two days
I go to whatever planet I want
I land wherever I want
I walk around doing whatever I want
I see virtually no combat
How is this not free roam
I think its an odd comparison.
What I would compare this game to is other Action Adventures with Shooter looter combat. In this regard Starfield is not really a bad game, nor great.. I dare say it is decent.
But being promoted as an RPG was a mistake in my opinion. That is why some many people are annoyed and have refunded.
