Starfield = made by a well established multi billion dollar company, that is known to release buggy unfinished games "Starfield compared to their other game is less buggy, but not a 100% bug free game" and are known to not go back and completely fix their games. They've already made their money from this, they'll put out a hand full of patches, 3 or 4 dlc's over the next 4 or 5 years and then the modding community will do the rest.
Now of course, things could be different now that Microsoft bought them out, however this is Bethesda's track record.
will Bethesda fix this? i donno
Based on this video, seems like it and Starfield have a lot in common.
Starfield is no where in as bad as state of NMS was, nor do I expect bethesda would commit to free content updates even if the game did tank.
The two games aren't comparable.
I suggest waiting a year or so. I refunded and will revisit at a later date.
