Well I am a member of a pirate fleet.. you can steal everything including ships..

There is no karma system, but you can kill people and take all there stuff in space. You companions will throw on a Drake track and get in their feelings if you kill people and steal their ship. Thus you can play as a bad person of sorts, but the game won't notice it story wise.

Yes. You can commit piracy and the sort (not one time sidequest deals)

And Starfield does have a camera system to take screenshots

Are we playing the same game? Because you can be a "bad guy" in multiple ways up to the point every faction wants you dead. Your choices also matter in other ways.

I read somewhere that you can go to jail like in Skyrim, is it true?. What would put you in jail?

I'm genuinely trying. The companions that I have met are really digustingly saccharine.

The robot while completely ineffectual - at least does not care.

idk if u remember for example fallout NV u could play with bad groups for example with powder gangsters...Maybe starfield has anything like this?

Steal something in a city, and talk to the police, then you will be dragged to a prison ship

You can do some bad choices, but the game is coded so that you cannot kill any story characters or children. Unless very specific quests except children though they are holy.
