Yes, it's a confusing mess until you figure out how it clicks. I don't even know if what I said makes sense, but it's probably the best way I can make sense of how the ship weapons system works. I seriously wish Bethesda could have explained it better themselves.
Edit: You could also skip the mess of adding weapons and making sure they match on your ship by going to the upgrade screen instead, but then it's kinda boring when your modified Frontier only has five guns in total.
However if I go for 1 thumper 1 stomper and 1 cluster missile I can't then have 1 fur missile correct ?
yes, though ive not found them. but there is a top tier skill for them.
Its like playing a dot spec in WoW and rotting everything down. Except everything kills you before you can even get half of everythings HP down. Turrets killed the game for me as the automatic targeting is dumb as hell.
