Do NOT put items into the captains locker/Racks in Ships (Cargo hold seems safe)

Just found out the hard way, when I fast traveled back to my ship it ate my weapons,
Until this is patched, I would recommend to only put items into the Home base Chest (which has unlimited space) OR a Base built chest.
Weapon racks also despawn weapons sometimes* so I would steer clear for now.

Yep - same thing happened to me. Lost most of my good loot. :( Was really tempted to restart after that happened.

or the actual Cargo Hold of the ship. Haven't encountered any issues with that one yet.

I am using zero weight cheat. Carrying all stuff with me. Easier until they bring something better.

This on the Frontier, or another ship? With Frontier, i've loaded the Cargo hold with everything except 'Notes,' which i've placed in Captain's Locker - thirty hours and i haven't lost anything from either...that i've noticed

Seems to happen with weapon racks from what I've experienced. I had a bunch weapons I found and quest rewards that I had in racks and they just disappeared when I went looking for them later. I dont think it happens with the cargo hold. I haven't experienced any issues with that. I thought it had to do with making the ship "Home" but maybe it's after fast travel as well.

Not sure if it applies to all ships. But it uses the same system in game. So it could be risky.

Oh, thanks for the heads up! Hope that does not apply to the storage box in the basement of The Lodge. I use to store the resources there. Until now the box has not been resetted. Hope it stays that way.

Maybe your crew are stealing the weapons from it, used to happen in Fallout 4 with the workshop storage (or any other container) - settlers come along and klepto all your stashed weaps.

Good to know, thanks. been wanting to upgrade for more cargo so i'll just keep a few handy saves for the just-in-cases

"Good loot" thatll just be underpowered as you level up. Don't be getting emotional attachments to anything, wait until you reach a soft cap in levels and it takes longer.

yea im hoping it doesnt effect that i have tons of resources there :O

Just thought I'd give a headsup. might not effect everyone.
But it's good to know at least. I heard about the weapons rack thing. It even happens with some shops they disappear and have issues too.
