What you need is to play games set in the past.

The game would be realistic if it took place like 50,000 years in the future. I highly doubt that in 100 years from now we'll be flying at light year speed and colonizing a few hundred planets.
The only other explanation I have for this nonsense is that this is an alternate universe and their timeline doesn't match ours at all.
As it has always been throughout history. Today, we have more human rights than ever before and that's not going to stop. Toilets weren't segregated until like 200 years ago and that will be reverted in the future. Eventually, it will be exactly how it is in Starfield. Just humans and the human race, no more labels. They nailed it, so it's especially immersive.
Around 300 years from now, not 100.
In 2014, my PC which could almost max out Crysis back in 2007 couldn't even start up Alien: Isolation. My 2018 phone not only runs Alien: Isolation, but it looks as good as maxed out on PC, even when I mirror it to my large 4K TV where you can see every detail. That game had some of the best graphics I've ever seen back then and it still holds up perfectly. That's how ridiculously fast advancement of technology is.
You would want to hope so but I assure you that is not the case. It's normalization of the abnormal, appeasing people that make up less than 1% of global populations. Corporations do not give AF about the 'community'. When the tides turn and DEI/Wokeisims are scrubbed out of the gaming community, will you have the same opinion then? I doubt it.
Wait until you find out Skyrim is about nationalism and is very much designed to mirror modern world politics.
