Fixing engines

How do I repair my ships engine? I'm stranded in space bc its just red, I used ship parts but it just heals my hull and my engine wont seem to come back online, not sure what to do.

Did you ever get it fixed? I'm having the same issue with a crimson fleet wight I just stole as I just hit C level piloting and didn't feel like messing around and building my own ship so just wanted to steal one for now.

Ship parts fix themselves over time. Just go to sleep or wait an hour xD

Use the arrow keys (or alt+wasd) to allocate power on the engines. Then the red engine bars will start blinking and get fixed after a short time.

Nope sat there in game for close to 20 mins and everything but the engines was fixed.

Cant the bar around the engines is red and I cant allocate any power to it and this is the first time I've had this issue as I've stolen both class A and B ships before.

Sure you are not just out of power to allocate? Tried taking some power of the other systems?

Yup drained all power out of the weapons and grav drive I have over 12 to put into stuff but it won't go into the engine section.

Don't think waiting for time to repair is working for me. All 3 weapons are red engine is orange , shields are good and Grav Drive is good. After 4 hours of sitting in safe space all is the same, no better, How do you repair weapons and engine in space?? I did finally decide to jump to New Atlantis. Mechanic there says, nothing to do all is fine. take off, No, it is still the same. there must be a way to see your engine and weapon states without having to take off. Need Help !!

You're a thief. Dump it and steal another.

If you can't leave, then reload the game to an earlier save until Beth fixes it.

This is why I hit F5 all of the time. I don't trust new video games.

Found a post on reddit of someone having a similar issue of stuff not fixing itself (should automatically do it) and one of the comments is that sometimes it just bugs out. My solution was to go full klepto on the ship and take every last thing and then redock with my main ship and just blast it and then I stole the next Wraith I had to "hunt" and that one worked perfectly.

So there's no fix for this yet? My engines are also all red and I can only allocate 2 bars to them, enough to move at 15 speed. Nothing works for repairs or anything.
