Has anyone figured out gear tiers yet?

I really dont think this counts as a spoiler cause its just... weapon stat stuff. but regardless, spoilers? maybe?

anyway. Ive noticed theres apparently multiple tiers to weapons. meaning they arent all one grade.

by this i mean theres the following

"basic" weapons are simply guns that are the lowest of the low tier weapons.

but if you manage to level up enough, you can find calibrated versions of those weapons. or advanced or tuned or whatnot else.

im not entirely sure the order these go in or how high the levels go, but so far ive seen calibrated, advanced, and refined.

im wondering if anyone knows how high these go? and in what order are they from worst to best? i think the advance ones are the best ive seen so far but im not sure if they go even higher then that

Quick note: apparently there's one tier up from advanced: superior

Dunno if anything past that.

Regular clothing can't get tiers. Space suits and helmets however can.

I don't think unique items get tiers so there's a good chance they become obsolete in late game or new game plus

Melee weapons can't get tiers from what I know of

Some guns don't appear to get higher tiers either. Haven't come across an advanced eon or sidestar yet.

You have different tiers
Blue, rare. Purple superio and legendary with unique perks

and then you have rare ingidients and materials for crafting

Its also tiers within the colors. Like Rare Calibrated weapon. Not what the difference is beyond numbers.

That's legendary effect tiers.

I'm talking base level tiers.

I've seen what you are talking about, but I'm not sure what the categories are.

Example I found a Big Bang shotgun that had like 30 phys damage and 95 energy damage, bought it, then like 10 character levels later the vendor was selling one that had higher phys damage and higher energy damage but no weapon mods on it.

"superior" seems to be highest rank.
My problem rn is trying to figure out how to get more superior rank stuff, however it seems to be complete RNG unless I am missing something. I got a superior rank spacesuit and helmet, but I hate how it looks, but after attaching mods to it, I have 300 defense in the 3 categories and mild resistances to all environmental dmg, walking tank on Very Hard difficulty.

Curious how this works and hopefully more info on this.

I found a gun not sure if superior as I've renamed it and it seems to do a lot more damage than the normal counterpart, without any "coloured" tier.

I really want to get a razorback that does more damage,

I've never seen a superior gun spawn. Only spacesuit.

I find they get sold at vendors on occasion. I generally just go to the UC distribution center and keep re rolling the stock till I find one.

Did you already tried doing missions / exploring / dungeons in the higher lvl systems? The highest planet system i saw had lvl75? I guess there you'll find the highest item drops / generations possible.

i got superior spacesuit from 98lv pirate boss with purple color in 75lv planet system, and saw white superior spacesuit on outland located in new atlantis when my level was 69, but i cant find superior weapon anywhere.

I pickpocketed an Advanced Grendel from the security guy in the Clinic, and it has 14 damage compared to the regular one which has like 3/4
