Used console command to fix broken quest, achievements still disabled after closing the game
So I had a quest bug out, NPC tells me to talk to the sheriff but he wont talk to me, and she keeps saying she's "busy". Tried using a command to fix the quest, didn't really work but I did type stuff in the console. In previous Bethesda games if you closed the game and then reopened it though achievements would still be active, but I closed the game, hit level 10 and nothing popped. Any other issues like this? It's not the biggest deal if the cheevos are bugged, I'd rather get the quest working but still seems a little weird.

If this is becoming a deputy mission wait until the npc is finished talking to the marshal before talking to him , had the same bug . Hope this helps :)

Yeah, it was this quest lol. I thought I waited for her to finish talking but, not sure. I have an autosave so I'll try again tomorrow.

Uh yeah, I know. In every previous game it was per session though, it didn't completely prevent you from earning achievements

if by that, you mean use the mod and delete the file, true. but this guy used the console, which warns this will happen, then asked why it happened. fairly sure he is not wearing a pointy hat lol

"but this guy used the console, which warns this will happen"

and no, its not per session. use the mod, and realise this was your own fault.

I played other bethesda games and used the console to change FOV and this was never an issue. Instead of being annoying you could have just said, "In Starfield it's per save, not per session" instead of being a catty little chimp in my notifs

How do you know the achievements are disabled? They won't be active until the regular version of the game goes live at 1 am London time on the 6th.

Steam shows me I already have 3, one for going into space, one for reaching level 5 and one for joining constellation. They all happened normally until I used the console to try and fix a quest, then the one for reaching level 10 did not unlock. For some reason I can't see my friends achievements but I think steam is tracking them for each player even if they're not visible to all.
