Unlimited storage
Is the Safe in your room at the Lodge the only unlimited storage in the game or has anyone found any others? Would really like an unlimited storage container at my outpost but I havent found anything like that. Maybe acquired through skills points or something? I just want a place to store my stuff where I dont have to manually pull it out to use it for crafting. The big issue is where to store crafted components used for further crafting in outposts. Doesn't to be options that have nearly enough space

Agreed. Game got a lot less frustrating from an inventory management perspective when I realized I don't need to loot everything not nailed down. I basically only pick up valuable blue/purpple/orange gear and resources now.

Adding a couple of storage additions to your ship helps immensely.

join the rangers has a good quest line and you get the star eagle ship for free{one of the best type A ship, you can sell it for 107k if you want to) at the end of the missions. it has a cargo hold over 2200 and is a better ship over all, and you can do this at the very beginning of the game, by the end of the quest line i had over 200k in credits also.
I did not see anything like that on the build menu. I'll go back and check maybe I missed it somehow?

What container are you talking about? The ones I build are tiny little things. Like the size of ammo crates. It was all I was able to build.

I think its called warehouse? is on the same build menu as the solid gas and liquid storage. It says its for manufactured goods in the description.

I just looked on my build menu and I do not have any warehouse on the build menu. Is it something I need to unlock through a quest or skill or something. Because it is just not there at all.
Welp figured it out. Its because I havent researched the damned thing yet that I didnt have it

Be careful with that. Ive had stuff despawn that I left on the ground at my outpost might despawn after a certain amount of time or if you go too far from your ship. I've done it too...mostly with vendor trash.

honestly any container on land should have an infinite storage on them. on ships its understandable but this is absolutely ridiculous for a bethesda game. its dumb how ive only found 2 containers that are unlimited and both are in constellation hq. we should be allowed to have them in outposts especially since many want to use it as a player home. this game is so good but the way bethesda has done some things really makes 0 sense. they legit need to fix this problem in a patch because its pretty unacceptable imo

Thats massive hyperbole. The small manufactured storage has 75 space. manufactured goods generally weight between 0.5 and 3. You also have the transferable storage that's meant for the end good that stores 200. It only takes 3 of those structures beams, a couple of aluminium and a couple of titanium to build the small storage for manufactured goods. if you've used up 750 space for storing ores, you can probable build 100 of them.

You have to go to a research bench and research manufacturing 1 under outpost development. This will unlock the small warehouse where you can store most manufactured building materials. Connect it all up and boom problem solved.

Maybe set up a logistics Warehouse chain? Its not a clean as tossing all your stuff in the Workbench in Fallout 4.

Set up storage for Solid, Liquid, Gas & Warehouse (after you research warehouse). The small warehouse holds 75, medium 150 and large 300.

Build a Transfer Container - Allows you to transfer cargo while onboard your Ship.

Build a Landing Pad w/ Ship Builder (so your ship can be in your base, this is a must)

Create 4 different output links from the Transfer Container to each of the 4 storage container types. If you have multiple containers for a given type, only use 1 link.

If you have multiple storage containers in a line, connect those containers as well with an output link. The link from the Transfer Container should be to the first container in the chain

Add more storage as needed.

There is also a container in the lodge other then your safe that has unlimited storage down in the workshop.

It will either be a big chest along the wall or a tiny box on the table in the main workshop room. I got the tiny box.

I would recommend creating different small mining sites for the essential resources. Then build a large storage outpost.
