Outposts and Resources
I'm still fairly new in the game, only about a couple of hours and I am just starting to establish outposts on various worlds and moons to get resources. My question is there some sort of storage bank system that automatically collects all your resources from the different planets at once or do you really have to go to each single moon or world to collect your resources because that seems like it's a pain in the booty.

Crafting will pull from your ship storage and I think you can build storage and ways to connect all outposts.

I haven't been able to play the game, but from a review that I watched, they said you can eventually connect your outposts together like Fallout 4 and transfer materials that way.

Yeah you have to build a cargo link. There is a normal one that only works within the same system that doesn't use fuel and then an inter-system one (which requires helium). It's to automatically ship goods between outposts. It's needed especially if you want to build up fully automated production chains. Like I have small outposts here and there just to mine particular resources which the cargo links then ship to my main base where I have my fabricators that need the resources. It's kind of cool, because you can even see the cargo ships take off and land.

This way you could set it up that all resources from all outposts automatically get shipped to one main outposts where you can then collect them or be used for automatic production.

That's actually pretty cool! I'll have to remember that when I can start playing.

How do you fuel it? I linked a helium 3 extractor to it, but not showing that its fueled. I don't have it linked to another base as I was going to test it tonight

Between all 8 outposts I collect the follow elements:
He - Helium
NI - Nickel
AG - Silver
W - Tungsten
TI - Titanium
CU - Copper
PB - Lead
Co - Cobalt

At some point I will put points into planet scanning (much later) so I can effectively find the best intersecting resource points and likely have to rebuild my enterprise a bit...

Those elements feed into one main base via a bunch of linked resource pads.

My main base has about 4 small storage containers per element feeding into it. Right now I don't have fancy outpost stuff so I have to get away with small containers.

Said outpost is generating one of every possible manufactured item (minus the couple that take resources not on my list) at all times, which feeds into one small warehouse container each (I will eventually make those larger when able)

My base is a habitat with one of every crafting bench, every merchant/mission/bounty board possible and a main starbase (which allows upgrading and messing with ships)

There are power generator modules like solar panels

I have several h-3 extractors linked to a gas storage and then have that linked to the fuel in part of the cargo link pad.

Try that if a direct connection is not working. But make sure its powered and connected to H3 input.

The power i got, but it requires helium 3 and it shows as 0/5 for me

IS there a fuel section of the cargo pad? I looked and didn't see a spot to link it for fuel, so that might be what i'm missing

Yea it has two inputs one is for fuel and one is for junk being sent IIRC. It looks like a gas storage literally on the pad I believe. At work and cant actually look though.

I'll double check tonight, mine had 3 that i remember, one said Incoming, Outgoing, and Intersystem. I think the intersystem one looked like a gas storage tank
