Grav Jumping is currently disabled

I'm trying to jump from Olympus to Volii and it's telling me grav jumping is currently disabled.

I have 3 bars into grav jumping. My cargo is currently at 256/450.

What am I missing here? It won't let me grav jump to any system.

It's because you have to take Preston to help a settlement.... nahh seriously... sounds like a bug, land on a planet you are near and try again :)

EDIT: Seems perhaps you were restricted because of a quest perhaps?

I had this happen when changing ships after doing the mantis quest. I think it's definitely a bug

streamer had this happen to them and they just reloaded the game and it worked just fine

Try going to a nearby planet within that same solar system and then trying to grav jump again. Last time I ran into that problem it was after talking a trader ship near a planet and, for whatever reason, the game didn't register the conversation as having ended. I moved to a nearby moon and then tried the jump again and voila, it let me jump without a problem.

SOLVED: I had the exact same situation, had fuel and grav but got "Grav jumping is currently disabled".
Turned out I had to "hail" at a closeby Bounty Defender ♥♥♥♥ (there was some crimson guards they supposedly "helped me" kill a minute ago and you can't grav jump anywhere until you hail them, do the conversation and then they grav jump away. I was then free to jump myself too.
Sometimes you are "inside a mission" without even knowing it

Same exact thing happened to me after a random encounter. I loaded a quicksave and issue solved.

Hey I manged to fix it by quick saving and loading it I think it happens when your grav system take's damage but this glitch has only happened once to me

just happened to me. for me, the fix was to go to another planet in the same system (not grav jump). Once there a NPC ship hailed me, once we chatted, then I could grav jump again.

Same thing happened to me. Full points into grav drive, more than enough fuel, full ship health.

Indeed a bug. I exited game, came back in and suddenly it worked. Quest was "Destroy the Crimson Fleet Wight at Oborum Prime.

Same thing here with No Grav Jump.
I just had it happen to me with the Mantis Quest.

I think I have the same, or a similar problem. I'm doing the mission where you help the ship designers, and part of that mission line is taking jobs off the bounty board. I took one that involves transporting 2x scientists to Linnaeus II. I'm woefully under leveled for that system I'm assuming, so I wonder if that is why I can't jump to it.

The error I'm getting is "YOU HAVE NOT EXPLORED EVERY SYSTEM ALONG THIS ROUTE. TRY JUMPING TO A CLOSER SYSTEM." With no option to jump any way.

I've plenty of fuel, cargo is just over 25% full, no damage to my ship. No one waiting to talk to me. And I've tried closer jumps, but the route changes each time, and I just cannot seem to find a position where I can make the jump to Linnaeus system.

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions!

I have a jump 30 ship...telling me I can't do it...no one else is ALIVE in the system...I killed every ship....so no one to hail.

I'll go try to jump small to get away from the bug....

Irritating as hell.

Edit: Jumping small didn't do it for me. Saving. Exiting game. Restarting worked like a champ.

Going into your cockpit from while your ship is docked, in crouch mode and you have sneaking abilities, will cause a bug at times that wont let you gravjump. I simply had to dock and go into the ship again but not while being crouched/in sneak mode.

This is deliberate to stop under level ships and characters getting there too soon. You need to fly between systems to "unlock" routes across different stars. Regardless of fuel, some stars have a minimum range required to reach it in one jump. Its generally in the 20+ jump ranges for higher level stars.
