I deleted mine and made another from scratch and added
[General]
SIntroSequence=0
uMainMenuDelayBeforeAllowSkip=0
[Camera]
fFPWorldFOV=90.0000
fTPWorldFOV=90.0000
These did not work, so I can only surmise that the game is not reading the .ini file for some reason.
Trying everything, but still no luck
This seems to be the case. I couldn't get mods loading either. So what I did was:
- directly edit the Starfield.ini inside the game's folder itself, and set it readonly
- dumped mods in both the My Games & main game Data folders
- launched the exe directly.
Worked after that. I don't know which factor made the difference, but loose files load properly now.
BOOM!
This worked.
I'm thinking it might be launching from the .exe instead of through Steam is what worked. I will do some testing later.
Im just glad I got it to accept Mods.
Thanks.
I’ve already installed Achievement Enabler. It works great as I tested the in game command prompt for level 100 and it unlocked lvl 25/50/100 achievements 😅
But any armour colour, HUD, FOV mods aren’t working either in Vortex or when attempted manually.
Ahh I set up vortex to run the .exe file directly... I should have said that.. because I have the GamePass version so it asked me to point to where the game was installed.
You dont have to launch the game from the Starfield.exe. Launching from Steam works fine.
