game is not bad but to short...40 hr playtime...its for me a 7 of 10...the problem is for me its more a clone wars and pick up game..that mean...all looks so same..and theres to much to pick up all the time..i have the feeling 18 hr of the gametime u need to pickup the items xD

I'll give it a 7.5/10 (inclining more to giving it a 8) optimization could be better, and it turns out the driver on nvidia cards from August 22 was making my game crash every hour or so. I had to roll back to my previous driver. Anywho the game has a few hassles to make it "work" so I'm hoping for a massive patch. I'm sure I'll end up giving it an 8 if not more out of 10. So far is worth my time and money.

In all honesty legit reviews will vary between 4-7 out of 10.

Those giving it under 4 are probably just trashing the game with no apparent reason.
Those giving it 8 or higher are lying to themselves or this is the first game they have played and have nothing to compare it to.

Of course, both wings contain exceptions such as players who genuinely do feel like it is a 10/10.

Nevertheless, scores that range between 4-7 will generally sum it all up. The reviews with 4 are most likely including nitpicked issues which are issues nonetheless or elements which casual gamers might not even notice and the 7s are probably focusing on the good rather than the bad leaving those subjectively minor cons out of their review.

The outliers are trolling either negatively or positively, but we see this with everything, but it is worth noting and it's best to read such high and low reviews with a grain of salt.

Initially very disappointed in a lot of things (space travel being nothing more than fast travelling as my biggest gripe), however after 14 hours I can say it definitely eventually lives up to the hype, 9/10, you just have to play it for about 10 hours first.

My illusion of choice getting shattered happened after the character creation straight into your first trip on a different planet; I spec-ed into stealth and wanted to go for a sort of space ninja kind of build. Turns out, can't do that because Vasco is a loud MFer and as soon as he gets spotted you get spotted too, and that seems to go that way with every companion you take along. As soon as they see a red marker, they start blasting. So it's now a companion-less play-through.

That's a good point but it's not the first time an RPG took a part of the game and shoehorned you into playing a way you didn't expect. It doesn't last long, having Vasco forced on you. Still a valid point. On the other hand, I'd say that early in the game, there's practically no build because you have just a couple of skills anyway. It's not like you built deep into something that is useless throughout the game. At the start, there really are no builds yet. Just a point or two isn't a build.

True, but I come from a PoE background so I like to map out my build before playing XD.

On a serious note though, a bit disappointed that you're railroaded into joining the first faction you encounter to progress the story. In previous Bethesda games you were given a choice to join multiple factions to before the narrative really kicked off. Stormcloaks or the Imperials, Railroad or the BoTS, etc. Here it's like "Oh hey you touched that so you're coming with us... I SAID YOU'RE WITH US, but I'm not coming with you. Good luck you're gonna be one of us now"

After 10 hours and first planet with 2 landings I made I'm still exploring Atlantis and surroundings. So far, so good. 8/10 for now.

You didn't make 2 landings you watched a cut scene land for you. 4/10

6/10. Has some serious fundamental flaws in game design. Just highlights how truly great Elder Scrolls games are. That said there is fun to be had if you play a certain way.

Not sure quite yet

but hovering around 6-8 for myself some features in this game are annoying to name one is the Farmville mechanic of O2/C02 exertion metre which i find horrendous for loot goblin like myself.
