How to Open Air Vents
So i have seen a lot of Air Vents and tried everything to open them but i just can't. Send help. Even the big ones with handles to lift can't be opened or i'm just to stupid to do it

the ones which you CAN open ... open you just normal with the open/close prompt which is by default E o...o.

theres usually nothing much behind said vents ... just sometimes contraband which ... causes trouble to you in early game for you anyways until you reach the den

Wall vents you CAN open always have 'Hit E' prompt. Ceiling vents are almost always open, Rarely will have 'Hatch' you can hit 'E' on.

If you're talking the big emergency wall plates, They're one-way only and you need to use a cutter to cut the four bars on the corners holding them to the wall on the side that has those bars.

Even then you have to be on the "correct" side, with the security bars visible.

alternately, shooting the pins will blow them out too. 2-3 shots with a pistol does the trick. They're basically Bethesda's "Quick dungeon exit" pathways to save the trouble of running all the way back through.
