everything in my house just got deleted.....

went home to drop off some stuff and everything was freaking gone! all my furniture, chests with literally all my collected items.... EVERYTHING IS ♥♥♥♥ GONE! WHAT THE FRICK!
I had some really cool unique stuff in storage as well :(
for no ♥♥♥♥ reason at all my whole ass house got reset to when it was initially purchased....

I dont know if this is happening to outposts aswell, but for now AVOID USING THE PENTHOUSE IN NEW ATLANTIS! that is where this happened to me!

This post is old but this specific issue seems to still affect the new atlantis penthouse awarded for completing the UC questline. i have a theory as to why it could be happening but im no game dev so meh. Anyway ship and the lodge storage seems to be safe, havent had any issues in my 130+ hours of playtime across multiple characters. There was an issue with displays but that was fixed in the most recent patch. For now dont use that apartment for anything important.

i heard the game was just updated, and normally when that happens it tends to screw with your game, and because bethesda made it a stupid ass requirement to always maintain an online connection to the game, your screwed to have this overlap when an update ♥♥♥♥♥ things up.

until this game get's it's own script extender, i suspect this will just keep happening.

it could just be as simple as a mistake in forgetting to tag the house interior as player owned /purchased, easy fixed

my current theory is that the city in which my house is entered a different instance or reset, because i just finished a major questline in that city and some big things happend, changing the look of some buildings and terrain. it could be so freaking stupid that the whole city got replaced with a different instance an instance in which my stuff didnt exist so the game just deleted it.

you dont understand, its not just items that are missing. all the furniture and decorations aka solid objects placed around the house dissapeared too. the home got reset to its initial empty state.

yep :) from now on i only store stuff in my ship, this bug was present at launch in fallout76 as well, hopefully they fix this soon...

oh, that's defenatly possible, now i remember back in skyrim when people would leave their equipment in random houses or locations thinking they would always be there without knowing the building does this refresh cell thing and the next time they visit it erases everything, bethesda should have fixed this for homes and locations you own in game.
