1ST Performance sucks I'm forced to use up-scaling to stay above 60fps with a RX6800 & 5800x3d at 3440x1440p
2ND The A.I is really dumb
3RD There's no detailed map
Overall it's a really fun game hell I spent 2hrs building a ship and I was basically brainwashed while doing it.
It's pretty much all I wanted.. new world, new stories, lots of stuff to do.
I never expected a space sim.
Game's main-story-quests feel kind of stale? Dunno if it's because I'm too early on in the game but the whole collecting powers being "go to temple, do small puzzle, get power" feels very repetitive and lazy.
I get that starfield will likely be a heaven for mods and modders but so far without them I think it's a fairly good experience, lot of meat on the side-quests compared to the main one so far though.
Outside of that the only thing that's majorly bothering to me is the UI running at 30fps for some reason, feels nauseating especially in space-combat scenarios.
I will also add that the companions are much more fleshed out and interesting than previous Bethesda titles. I wasn't expecting that, so it's a pleasant surprise.
game tech is unimpressive and visually 'meh'
mind bendingly dumb AI and companions
disturbingly unintuitive UI design
Maybe modders will be able to salvage the building pieces, but good lord this game feels like amateur hour. Something tells me there is going to be a bunch of developer leaks about how insane the management was in trying to make this - its too janky for this to be a smooth development process.
Coolest thing be able to land anywhere on a planet you're orbiting just by click that spot on the globe in the nav table.
Already so many crazy times have happened. like leading a wounded and sole survivor of a local predatory fauna attack i found at a natural landmark i was exploring back to his ship, then just a few secs later i hear a ship break atmo just to see pirates land their ship. one ridge over, naturally i rushed them and took the ship for my own.
I dare say when people really get into the game, it will be not be thought of as fallout in space, but stand as it's own unique experience from Bethesda,
