[bug] Outposts and freight(inter)links
I have now setup my 5th outpost. All outposts i build aquire at least 2 minerals sometimes 3, so i build a homebase where everything comes together. I thought so until i figured out that you can only build 3(!) freigter terminals (including freighter interlinks). The thing is - you can only connect ONE freigtlink at a time, so you only have 3 at once possible.

How is this supposed to work? Collecting all resources by hand? I also noticed that after fiddling around with the freight routes, 2 of my 4 freight routes are now missing in the terminal and i have absolutely no clue what happened.

1) Make it possible that multiple freight routes can be active on one terminal!
2) Show the correct amount of ressources delivered and sent
3) Add a timer to the freight link to see the eta

My homebase - has two landing places (1 link and 1 interlink)

Have 4 bases on this planet and 1 on another:

There should be 4 different locations on the interlink terminal, but outpost 3&4 are missing. It also says: no connection, but outpost 4 is connected to this terminal via interlink.

On the second terminal outpost 3 is at least visible:

The outpost/freightlinks are really buggy and need a complete overhaul. Incoming and outgoing resources are not shown or counted (despite the space on the interface).

I am 41 hours into the game, doing mainly sidemissions and resource collecting / crafting / exploring. Currently level 18 completely into Prospecting, Scanning, Flying and Ship design. Next point goes into Outposts.

Got the same problem. Its a beyond stupid decision to have it work like it does now. What whould have been against building all interstations and connecting them to te only one you have at your mainbase or build one interstation per system and connect normal stations to the inter and have the inter connect to the one at your base. Just stupid

I really think this will be changed in future. It simply makes no sense. There are also other limitations which i cant comprehend.

One thing i know for sure - the horrible inventory system is due to the console controls. Would be so easy to make a drag&drop like inventory like in NoMansSky.

Cant land at my own landing pad, despite being under 40m.

Cargo-linked ships never arrive at desired outpost, but are always taking off/landing at origin location.

This system isnt ready yet and we're now beta testers.

Yeesh..

Guess Bethesda employees need to play more Anno games.

It's the best economic sim on the market.

If your ships go missing, it's because they were attacked by pirates.

Update - i found a perk that increases your freightlink limit but its not under sciense but under social?!

I have 3 outposts, I spent 3 hrs trying to get haulers going the right places.
Suddenly I wasn't getting copper from op 3 and op 3 was putting its own materials into the incoming container instead of outgoing like it did for the past hour.
Even when it works, the container limits are too small for the scale of things.
The cargo moving thing fills up fast and even though you can transfer from it to the ship via the ships cargo hold, it suddenly stops. Going outside and I find storage containers that feed the cargo mover are full....

It may be the best economic sim but it's horrendous to play. It's infinite micromanagement. This is space fallout, I just want all my resources in one base

I had 2 working then When I added a third it seemed to stop working altogether.
I could get temporary relief by deleting the cargo links and setting them up again.

Honestly, I gave up and just used my largest cargo ship to transport resources back and forth manually. - This and other bugs
-the mannequins/display cases losing gear,
-the irritating snapping issues when building,
-and not being able to land on landing pads. (This I got around by going to the console of the empty pad and making a small change such as changing my home ship and changing it back and saving. Then the ship would appear on the pad)
-and the workstation obstructed bug (Save and reload)

makes me feel that the program is still in beta or earlier.

So any amount of different resources can travel through a link. You need to have mini hubs to funnel your various resources before sending them on to your main hub.

For example, say you have 3 outposts in a single system, and each out post has 2 resources. Two outposts will have one cargo link to the third outpost which recieves the output of those 2 outposts. The third outpost will also have an inter link to your hub base in another system. That inter link will carry 6 reresources from that system to your main hub.
Seems you need 24 transport pods at your main outpost to get the resources from the other outposts LOL ... that coder from this part of the game "seems" to be braindead , else I couldn't explain that stupidity. Unbelievable :steamfacepalm:

I have posted it several times - this is how i solved the main hub problem. If you have the social perk "outpost management" you can place up to 6 links per base. So if you have lets say 2 resources per planet it would look like this:
