you can buy it back for 28k. but normally bethesda doesnt have multiuse-items

All I can say is to level up the perk that allows you to buy for less and sell for more

I don't quite understand the value attribute as it doesn't really convert to the credits amount from what I can tell

I thought different vendors offer different prices but I'm over 30 hours in now and gave up on that idea and just sell to anybody now

i think there was a trading company on mars with 11k to sell to, if im not wrong. Ive not explored locations too deeply yet. I usually do that when i run out of quests or if the remaining quest sends you to a too high level area..altho level wise it seems the npc levels are mixed somehow all over the places. I've not come across any quest yet that requires the heart, and i kinda sold it too.

The Den(space Station) in Wolf System. (one of closest system at start)

No scanners, and dudes got 11k.(edit) Not much else there thou.. easy to sit on chair and wait 24hours. XD

It might be a bug, though waiting more than four days before visiting certain merchants can have them with nearly 30k credits. The last time this happened to me was with the Trade Authority merchant on the Den in Wolf system. He is a convenient one because you can go safely sell contraband to him without investing in perks or compartments to defeat scans in major populated systems. In contrast, most Trade Authority terminals haven't regenerated their credits for ages now - the ones at Cydonia, Atlantis and Akila city in particular.

Jemison & Akilla vendors are limited 5,000 credits. A few, in the Well, have less though I think the Trade Authority in the Well has 11k+. I think Gagarin is also 5000.

Neon has some, like the Trade Authority that go just past 11,000 credits. And Neon core has all the vendors very close. So you can offload a lot of stuff very quickly.

When I need to get rid of a lot of stuff...or just valuable stuff, I buy ammo from the vendor, worth a lot but takes no space/weight....and then I can sell everything to them =)

rank 4 gives the full amount when selling

In the inventory it's shows 28K Crd --- BUT the vendors usually only give you 10% until you get higher in the trade skills and rep so you'd have to stow 10 mass until later so you're call, 2800 Crd now OR 10 mass until you're end-game, swimming in Crd like Scrouge McDuck and Richie Rich, for pocket change of 28k MAYBE.

You only get like 4-5k for it, even with bartering skill maxed. As with Fallout, the "value" is a scam. It's always only like 10% of the value you actually get when selling. Stupid system.
