There is a toggle that will hide the suit in civilized areas.

Go to your inventory (Key i) and there select where you have your spacesuit (below the weapons space) There on the bottom apears an option that normally is binded to the T key that will show or hide when you are in a settlement.

Thre's a similar opton for Helmets, just FYI. To auto-hide them in places where you don't need them.

there is no way to you have to manually go into your inventory and unequipped it every time lol...THATS CREATION ENGINE FOR YA!!!

Same works with the helmet, it has an option to hide when in breathable environments.

Yep, inventory has an option to hide spacesuit and helmet in areas where they aren't needed, damage resistance from those items is still applied thankfully.

yes only downside with that is, you have your suit on inside your spaceship, not a really that un logic but seeing that the rest of the crew does not have their suit on, i find it kinda an weird the auto system does not take it off there. ohwell you can't win them all eh.

I agree, I do wish it auto-hid it in the starship interior. I'm hoping a mod eventually comes out that does that, if BGS never changes it. I can live with it how it is now, but it's not my preference.

You can hotkey it to have a hotkey for aut-equipping, but it works the same as weapons. i.e. you can hotkey to equip it, but not to unequip it.

but you lose the stats if you do it like that, see the option to hide does not actually unequip the suit, but if you do it manually it does.
