This ^^
Found an underground secret HYDRA lookalike base, while in the middle of a great battle, the roof started to open, and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ship flew down and landed and MORE ENEMIES came out.
TLDR: New ship for me!
I'd say the problem is the open world "spreads those stories out". Skyrim and Fallout maps light up with pings of pure story scattered around the map.
For Starfield the map doesn't give that impression of "there's a lot going on".
I found that going to missions, and picking an open mission, leads to random fun side quest. I won't spoil it, but random one last night resulted in superhero side story, a free ship and lots of goodies.
And why do I need a vehichle I can't fly my ship but with m203 I can just open map and land anywhere almost and be there in the time it takes the cut scene of my ship to land lol
0 uniqueness
And no hook, no visual or audio identity
Gameplay is the same as fallout 4 but in an super empty world
That’s why it’s boring but, if you change your mindset to just a space combat somewhat average rpg and don’t expect nothing crazy, you start to enjoy a journey a bit more
Overall ign were right
Yes, they copied the mass effect start, then stripped out 90% of the story and called it a day.
Mass Effect 1... touch stone and have vision, join an organization and become a spectre and get a ship. But it felt organic, well written, and didn't happen in the span of five minutes. This feels like a placeholder they never finished, like embarrassingly so.
>> Yep, that is exactly how I feel. I think there was a lot of marketing that increased our expectations too much and when you start playing this game, you feel cheated.
I remember when I started to play Skyrim, I was so immersed in it that I could not leave the game for anything. The same thing I felt with Fallout 4 and I am still playing those games and I will never get tire of them cause you know what : the mods !
Starfield is like a 'TEMPLATE' .... it is a template game that Bethesda created cause they knew that modders will enhance and finish it and make it much better than Skyrim or Fallout 4. I really have my doubts about my own statement cause there is something in Starfield that does not make you feel right about it.
Graphics are ridiculous bad. Outpost building is unfinished. Ships cannot fly ( 6-7 crew member ships ) more than a 140 which is ridiculous even if you attach the best engines as I did. Loading screens are not that bad. Combat wise is good. Variety of weapons are good. Audio is good .... but .... there is something that does not attach me to the game, it does not have the magic, the magnetism Skyrim and Fallout 4 still have or had from the very beginning.
I feel like boring, like the game is too tedious and/or that it could be better. Again, I think that once we have access to x-edit and mods are released, then, and only then, this game will change my opinion.
At this point, after played it for 45 hours, I can feel that I have not desire to restart it again. It does feel overwhelmed. I have played Skyrim more than 2000 hours and Fallout 4 more than 1700 hours and I continue playing them and I do not feel tire or bore about them. Something is not right and I do hope that modders can fix it but that will happen I guess in the next year or so.
In the meantime, I am waiting for Assassin Creed Mirage that I will bet, it will have excellent graphics and a great story.
Excuse me Bethesda but if you are working on the next Skryim ( Elder Scroll VI ) and you do not pay attention to our feedback, you will fail in your goal. You have to come out with something super much better than all the games you have created and remember, graphics play a decisive rol in gaming ... humans are attracted by beautiful things and the first impression. Obviously, you have failed with Starfield cause we are comparing it with prior games ( Skyrim and Fallout 4 just to mention ) and there is not a great abbys of difference between them after you have spent years trying to come out with something that you assured it will be much better.
You were wrong !
