low FPS with a 3080

Playing at 4k, high settings and DLSS, 66% render quality.
Getting between 40 and 50 fps everywhere. is this realistic or should it be a bit higher?
I might upgrade to 4080.

It's the first game where I can't reach 60 fps unless I set most settings to low.

When you say DLSS, you mean you installed the DLSS Mod? Game doesn't have DLSS.

You shouldn't have to upgrade anything. that is a solid system. im currently using a 7900xt / 5800x3d 32GB Ram @3200mhz. and i've spent a bit of time finding the best setting for me. mix of high and mid capped at 90fps to give a stable performance. the game content itself it brilliant . the technical side... i really dont know why this takes so much resources. anyway i hope every one gets a solid experience.

if you are going to call me stupid at least use proper English, and 40fps looks absolutely rotten when you are used to playing 100+ in every other game. maybe you have a bad pc and are used to it but its unacceptable to play at that frame rate.

well people with 4080s arent getting much better performance either. from what ive seen its about the same even. also from what ive been reading and from my own tests is that changing the settings doesnt affect performance much at all. the game just doesnt run well regardless. also i have a 3080 as well and only play on 1080p and get around 40-50 fps outdoors so that says it all

Your mistake here is to play this game at 4K.

the problem isn't with your GPU the game has some CPU optimization problems, day 1 patch will probably mitigate this some but its hard to say, check your task manager while game is running and its probably hitting 95-100% on CPU which means your mostly stuck in the 40-55 fps range
