Best performance?
Running a 3070ti and I can get the game to run smooth inside interiors but when I hit major cities like New Atlantis my fps drops significantly. Any ideas or feedback on what I can do?

I have 30-40 FPS on any planet surface. No different on atlantis. While in interiors I have 60fps. Changing settings doesnt matter. Tried low to ultra. Same effect performance wise somehow...

Turning down shadows is the biggest performance improvement you can get aside from lowering render resolution.

Since you're on an Nvidia GPU, I would say to download one of the DLSS2 mods from the Nexus and set resolution scale to 66%, that equates to DLSS Quality, and lower shadows from Ultra to High.

Even then you're still going to have a rough time depending on your output resolution. The game is just really poorly optimized.

The DLSS mod doesnt help everyone. And it is thirdparty modded DLSS...

need more info than just your gpu lol

are you running on an HDD or a super old CPU? not enough RAM?

hard to say. That being said, Im running on a 4060 costco laptop with no issues

New Atlantis is the most taxing spot from what it seems, specifically the main MAST area.

It's an issue from everyone. You're just going to have to deal with it until patches come out

People are having issues with 30+ GB RAM on top of the line CPU's and GPUs on Nvidia's side while the game is installed on M2 drives. It is likely driver related at this point. Which means it is likely luck. How old is the drivers you installed?

My tip is to boot into safe mode, uninstall the driver, clear out the DX cache in the user folder ("%localappdata%\D3DSCache"), then use DDU to completely wipe the driver remains. Reboot. Fresh full install of driver.
I just had it that stable 60 FPS became an awful 30-55 FPS stutter fest simply by installing a new driver over the old. Game seems to have a lot driver/cache problems.
