I am running a 3070 and it is fine here....maybe you have a BIOS setting incorrect for the graphics card it is using? Other than drivers, reboot, etc. that is my only idea.

p.s. yes it can work fine with other games if you have an incorrect bios setting.

I'm playing on ultra with 2070 and DLSS mod from Nexus. I have almost none performance issues.

Do you only have one GPU in Device Management? Possibly the game try to use the GPU inside your CPU?

Make sure you select the game to run with your 3070 and not with integrated graphics.
If you're on a desktop/tower, make sure your graphics card is in the 16x PCIE-slot.
If you're on a laptop you can also try deactivating optimus/integrated graphics in BIOS.

You can also try a clean install of Nvidia Drivers.

Yeah, it was almost unplayable without the DLSS mod. I don't have fps drops but the game was freezing quite frequently. Now only occasional freezes stayed. But I also have sound bugs. I hope performance patches will follow.

3080 here with i7 and i'm crashing non stop now. I was able to get the storyline going but when I ask buddy to look at ships for sale it crashes every time. Tried many so called fixes that were mentioned on Reddit but none of it is helping. Updated everything, set max FPS to 60, deactivated stuff, lowered options for graphic settings you name it. So far it's a great game but it is feeling like New Vegas all over again for us intel/nvidia users.

I'm running a 3070 with Intel/NVIDIA and so far no issues other than minor frame drops in big cities. 18 hours in, NOT ONE CRASH. I'd update your driver and restart. also verifying game files may help. good luck rook!
