Sounds like Sam was saying how he trusted him, and this guy here thinks that's love.
What is being conveyed on the face and in the voice of those 2 companions is not coming across as just someone being vulnerable.
Nah fam, maybe you've not got friends that feel comfy being open with you, so you don't recognise that? But none of that comes from the companions here unless you choose to go down those paths.
I don't think you ever experienced a close friendship with a straight male before... there is a difference.
lmao yeah i agree already gone through that part of the story and i didn't find the dialog being uncomfortable.
he should definitely avoid boulders gate 3 tho, dude wanting to suck on your neck and stuff might push him over board.
Yeah, spreading awareness... the sure sign of someone on the edge.
I haven't flirted with any of my companions, but I still get the flirt option here and there. Just don't upset the companion and you should be fine.
Please stop trying to pick a fight with me. Thank you.
In a way, BG3 is worse as there are no warning indicators. I am starting to think that when a game has the option to pick pronouns it is giving a warning to the player that there are no platonic relations in their game without it being awkward.
The romance grasping in this game is SUPER hamfisted. Something like the first three companions you get start comparing you to their old gay lovers (I am not kidding) and start the romance stuff.
Jesus man back off. This place must be the league of extraordinary horndogs or something.
For me, the more memorable relationships I have seen in entertainment had nothing to do with romance. It was more along the lines of friends giving each other a hard time. Like how Lord of the Rings started out where Legolas and Gimli didn't like each other at all, then after traveling together for some time it became more of a friendly rivalry than a animosity towards one another.
It even branched out to other interactions where they were making comments like "Don't tell the elf!" When Gimli was about to be thrown across a gap by Aragorn. Then eventually reaching a point where they had a competition of keeping count of how many orcs they killed. I find character development like that far more compelling than characters hitting on each other. Sure I like sexy women and skin being shown... but that for me those are less memorable than solid character development.
