I haven't been on Mars, but on a barren planet and two moons one was radiated, one was like 280+ degrees celsius and one deep frozen. All three gave me a warning that my suit protection was insufficient, but I didn't experience any harmful effects. The Constellation watch had a meter slowly ticking down though so I guess one has to be back in a shelter before that runs out. Had plenty of time to look around though.
Mainly confusing me due to me being on planets early game as is, and no dying, till I get to mars, so nothing was said about needing to equip something new.
Found it, seems the pack came off somehow when I was switching suits around.
This is weird. I haven't suffered any problems with extreme conditions on the planets.
Only one has been when I've stood on top of a vent.
Is this bugged?
How did you re-equip the pack? This happened to me and there is no section for packs and I can't find this anywhere.
As with much sci-fi, you have to suspend a little belief. Most of the planets we go to would kill us even with suits on. Some would kill you along with your ship if you tried to land. The longest a probe has lasted on Venus was two hours. Of course, our probes don't have magical electromagnetic space shields so there goes that belief again.
