I7-7700, would it be ok ?
Hello.

Wondering if my CPU could run the game : i7-7700 (with RX6600 and 16Ram)

I would play in 1080p. Would it still run decently? At least 30fps on medium settings ?

I have an i7-7700k and an rtx 2060 with it on my m.2 and the performance is mostly good and in a lot of cases can hit 70-85 fps on ultra settings (with some minor tweaks) though in heavy areas in some cities, the fps can drop to round 30, but it's manageable. 16 gigs of ram should be fine. Hope this helps :steamhappy:

Really the only major tweak I grabbed was "Starfield Performance Optimizations" from Nexus. I did change some settings after the fact, but you'll personally have to play with it yourself and see what works.

It really does help yes !

I was worried that my 7700 would be too limited to run the game with only 4-core, but it's not too far away from a 7700k (obvious haha).

I'm surprised, I read so much ♥♥♥♥ about the optimisation, I wouldn't have believe I could run it properly lmao

The game could be better optimized and I'm sure in the near future Bethesda/modders can come along and help with that, but as it currently stands it's very playable and has been pretty enjoyable. However, I also remind you that you can test it out and refund within two hours if it doesn't work out for you. Good luck!

Thanks !

Yeah I think I'll wait for the release of Sept. 6th, hoping that there's a patch for optimization (the game is still in Early Access after all) and hoping that by then there are already a few mods coming out and then I'll try.

Thanks for your help

I have an i7 7700 with a 3060ti and 32gb RAM, installed on m.2. The game runs smooth while exploring and fighting indoors, but some outside spaces you will see your cpu max out and performance dips, but not game breakingly so. I just got to Akila City and the CPU is slammed. This is on medium settings but I'm still tweaking to get the best performance without impacting quality too much. The 4cores/8threads are pushed to its limits but it is playable.

edit:
Indoors: 100+ fps
Busy outside areas: avg 45 fps on medium. 35-40 on high.
