Film grain. Yay or Nay?

I really like the effect and I'm very used to it from games like Mass Effect (for some reason devs think: Sci-Fi = Film Grain... Thanks Christopher Nolan.. I guess?) but I think Bethesda overdid it. Currently I'm using it with 0.75 intensity in the settings.

I turn off film grain in any game. Its a horrible feature

Nay ofc. I can't wrap my head around why this feature even exist and is turned ON by default.
I want to be immersed and not get the feeling watching an old movie from the 80s / 90s

i hate that effect, it will be one of the things i will deactivate inmediatly along with bloom and motion effects, aka the view gets all wishy washy when you turn your camera. expecially the last one is the bane of everything, noone needs it and yet, devs putting it in xD.

I like film grain, was a big fan of the look when I first saw it in Alien Isolation.

i hated it but after playing around with it in games and upscaled movies and old tv-shows i saw the effect it can have and since that i don't mind it that much as long as its only noticeable if you really look for it. In my experience it can enhance the quality of the movie, show or game if its minimal. currently its at 41% i think in my game
