"Check out your ship's inventory" bugged

Anyone else having issues trying to complete this quest? Doesn't seem to complete, even after interacting with the ships cargo hold multiple times, adding random things, removing random things.

have you tried interacting with it via the console behind the pilot seat?

It did the same thing for me when I accessed it via the full screen inventory menu.

However, when looking at your pilot seat from behind, there is a small console on the left just before your seat, there you can view and interact with the cargo hold, take an item that way from the cargo hold (this is what worked for me, hopefully works for you also!)

Yep ... honestly, I thought that was the only way to interact with it!

May be late but I had the same question and found it out just now.
Remove something from your cargo hold without opening the menu for it when you stand in front of the cargo screen.

You have to take out the correct item for this to work. The correct item automatically shows up at the top of the list when you don't enter the menu, and is selected first, so that is why it worked. If you grab the second item in the list which isn't the item that was added to your cargo hold, it won't work.

Do you know the name of that specific item? Is it quest-related? I too have the quest bugged unfortunately :/

For me it triggered when I took a suit from the ship enventory via ressing E. It was the first item shown to me.

Simodon is exactly right. The item doesnt matter. Its how you remove it. Dont open the inventory of the ship. Just do it looking at the console behind the pilots seat. Just like youre quick looting a body. Any item will do it that way.

Just hit (X) on XBox controller to take something directly out to finish the activity quest.

Or press E on pc when looking at the item in the Cargo Hold.
