Question about weight lifting skill
Are the rank benefits of the weight lifting skill cumulative, or does each rank just supersede the previous one?

What I mean is, for Rank one you get +10 kg, and for Rank 2 you get +25 kg. So does that mean that at Rank 2 you have a total of just +25 kg, or do you have a total of +35?

I am assuming the former is the correct answer, but I'm interested in knowing rather than assuming.

Thank you in advance if you answer.

Thanks, that's what I figured. *sigh*

They dont add up. Each rank is a new perk that replaces the previous one. No idea if its a bug or a feature, but yeh.

Agreed, usually skill buffs are relative to your base value. So I'm thinking Rank 2 is only a +15 gain over Rank 1.

For all the skills, each tier replaces the one before it, unless there is a different type of bonus granted by a previous tier, then it adds. Example, one of the combat perks has damage increases and range increases. The damage ones replace damage buffs as you get the higher tier, then when it starts granting range, it now becomes a damage and range buff.

That's the same way it worked in Skyrim, so almost definitely intended.

Np! More carrying capacity is nice, I just preferred the larger number. :steammocking:

+10 is so neligable for a damn skill point. You have items that give far more

When I got all the perks I got 240 total carry capacity.

Literally your first 4 points should go into the weight skill since rank 4 is +100 and inventory is so important.

I went from 135 to 145 and now 160 ... so it looks to me that they don't add up. Instead you get the stronger perk.

I wish the mastery level gave "you can now fast travel when encumbered" instead of just more carry capacity.

Would be too OP. I would load 15000 pounds of widgets I made while grinding XP and then fast travel to sell.

Money is not a problem but that would make it trivial.

Fair point. I personally do not pick up much of anything just to sell, so I didn't even think of that.

I just wish I could load up all of my resources at one time to move them somewhere else. I've been storing them all in the basement of the lodge, and it's going to be a LOT of trips when I finally build an outpost.

One of the free ships is Class C with 3500 cargo capacity, only took me 2 trips. BTW, you can sprint overloaded, you will not die from CO2 poisoning.

And to avoid overloaded travel restriction, I just drop widgets on the bridge deck and pick them up after arrival. I think I once carried that was around 140,000 lb.
