Which one do you preffer First person or Third person and why

I prefer person when on ground (because now I can center character in the middle of the screen) but I but sometimes I go on first person too.
But for space battles first person always....

Always 3rd person. But if both works, everyone is happy. Some are always 1st person party.

When I am playing driving games Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator or Rally games....... first person only just I get fully immersed.....

3rd person is actually good. I really enjoy playing it in 3rd. Also, IT FINALLY SHOWS YOUR WEAPON ON YOUR BACK AGAIN. Huge W.

Just sometimes in third person I have a but that booster sometimes shows up out of nowhere when I use it.... I mean it is either attached to my back or not kinda weird. I am not sure did they intended it as a but or were just not sure how to place it...

I go third-person if I want to stand there and admire my threads. I don't like to pretend I'm in a movie, I like to pretend I'm in an alternative reality ... so it's first-person all the way just like life.

Always first person. Just been that way since morrowind.

At least this game has good third person animations.

3rd person. I never really grew up with first person games. I mainly played RTS games on PC and Socom on PS2 as a child. Thus I am just more comfortable playing 3rd person games when it comes to single player. Oddly enough when it comes to games like Battlefield and COD I'm perfectly fine with first person and actually nice with it in games. When it comes to single player games like Doom, I find myself wishing there was a 3rd person mode. I guess I'm just weird.

i prefer 3rd person when im exploring and fighting since i just have a big knife and like to see the swinging animation.
I will switch to 1st person to loot and talk since its easier to control.

Personally I play first person over third every game I can. I don't like the over the shoulder view. I find a lot of the third person views follow to close for my taste.

Well I do not think that spending almost 40 min in setting up my character just to see him when I am putting gear on him and during short cinematis is worth those 40 min, I do hope later we get some really good equipment....
