Is there any way to change companions' outfits?

Just realized this... there's no option to change what outfit companions wear??

Does Sarah just stay in her red jacket outfit the whole game or what

I was curious about this myself. Can we upgrade our companions armor/weapons as we progress? I picked the fanboy trait to have a packmule with me, and I was trying to see if I could get him to wear some better gear...

You can equip the things when you give them stuff, not sure about the clothes but you can change everything else

Is this your first bethesda game? Open their trade inventory, remove their outfit, substitute a new one.

It's just confusing because they dont show the companions model in inventory but yes can give them other stuff to wear but I didn't bother with spacesuits

When i equip things in their inventory the game shows my character, so that was confusing, but then i saw them crouch, become invisible and mow down 4 pirates with an epic laser gun
