It bothers me way too much.
You can do that by pressing E.
As the folks said - HOLD 'E' down. I keep getting out of my seat by accident while flying because I've been on Everspace 2
Holster your weapon - HOLD 'R' down.
I've done it by accident while trying to target things even. With bullets flying.
it's not a space simulator though, it's a bethesda rpg. If you came here for that you are sol and your own damn fault for expecting that.
That being said you can indeed actually manually fly to the planets, (which by the way actually have simulated orbits), but it would take like several hours. This has actually been tested by a streamer. Though why you would actually want to is another question lol.
Press escape to stop targeting whatever you're currently targeting then press and hold E (have to hold it awhile because if you let go too early you'll probably target a ship and hail them again - it is a bit finicky!)
