Anyone notice they auto set your render resolution to below 100%?
Literally every other game this is default to render at 100%???? What the ♥♥♥♥??? Mine was auto set at 75% and I am using a3090. I think they are trying to cover up for horrible optimization at launch

All of the upscale technology works in that manner, it is just a scaling percentage.

Nvidia dlss does it, FSR does it, xess does it, also the Unreal engine TSR does it the same way.

This game just has a manual way to do it so you can customize it how you want to and it sets fsr on by default.

A lot of the newer games are doing it now enabling upscale on by default, immortals of aveum did it and I think Remnant 2 might have on first launch.
yea no, you're confusing resolution scale with render scale, in other games it reduces the resolution scale depending on what preset you set dlss/fsr to and locks it, this game simply sets render scale to below 100% regardless of whether fsr is on or off

I do see what you are saying and not disagreeing.

The render scale that the game selects is from one of the .ini files in the game, depending on what gpu you have it will auto select it for you. A lot of gpus need to have the render scale lowered obviously because the game does have performance issues for a lot of gpus.

As for the FSR2 in the game as you know it won't work even if you have it enabled in this game, unless you lower the resolution scale slider down from 100%.

My whole point without being mean, even a 4080 runs this game pretty bad vs amd equivalent gpus and yes you're gonna need FSR on and use the Scaling slider.

Maybe it got lost in translation somewhere, its possible.

There have been benchmark tests done by outside youtubers, and the FSR doesn't seem to make any difference for any GPU FSR2 can make very minor differences on some units. They said the difference is an average of a few frames and made the result choppy. They recommended not to use it. They said some mods were already out that help Nvedia systems. I am not versed in this stuff, but the people that are have already made benchmarks running about 30 different GPU's for this game, they are worth watching, some of the sliders can save a few frames and don't seem to make any difference in game quality.
