stealing red harvest reserve

Has anyone been able to do this? The governor never leaves his office so how are you supposed to steal it? I watched a vid were someone spent 6 minutes kicking it out into the hall way but I can't even get it to move 2 feet. Any help? Thanks

Trying to move the bottle by dragging will count as stealing, just like simply taking it. Bucket on the head didn't work either.

I used the glass vase or whatever next to the bottle, grabbing that and dragging the bottle indirectly. It's easy if you crouch. Awkward but works, wish bethesda figured out how to make NPCs sleep at night but whatever

I have done this. You need to attack bottle with a weapon to the invisible zone. I tried it behind secretary. You may also use hameleon's equipment.

I just did this. You can melee or shoot the bottle until it lands somewhere safe to steel. It’s dumb and hilarious in a uniquely “Bethesda” sort of way.

Thanks for the responses, I got it by kicking it out into the hall which took a LOT of time. If I'd thought to melee it I'm sure that is faster.

I just did it about an hour ago.

What I did was talk to him while standing between him and the wall by his desk. He turned around to face that wall. I then dashed out of the room so he wouldn't turn to face me in that direction, and used stealth when I went back in to get to the reserve and steal it.

Every time I moved, the detection meter started to go up, but i kept stopping before it completely filled. Stopping caused the detection meter to go back down, then I moved a little more, etc. He never turned around and I was able to steal the reserve. Took less than a minute.

This worked perfectly for me. The stealth bar starts off green and "detected" but as you move forward, it goes to hidden.

I discovered that crouching behind the plant turns you fully hidden.

Then I snatched it.

I pushed the bottle with another item until I was in a good hiding place. It's like playing ice hockey.

When I did this one I carried it by holding down the A button (Xbox) he yelled at me and it said I was caught stealing but did not incur a fee. After he took it he pocketed it so I went around behind him and picked his pocket.

Persuaded the bartender to give me a bottle.

I grabbed a coffee cup and just mini-golfed it out of his office, up the ramp and around the corner next to the front entrance of cydonia to steal it

Put on 2 pieces of armor with 'chameleon' ability, crouch, wait 1sec, click on item...
(Doesn't work if you have perk: Concealment 3/4)

I just did this on PC I picked the bottle up without stealing it took it around the corner outside the office and up the stairs in the room behind the office were I was clear then dropped it and stole it..too easy.

You got lucky because picking stuff up counts as stealing it.
