Arrested
As title says, why did I get arrested when doing quest Alternating Currents? Dialogues didn't make any sense either.

Quest is Deep Cover and they are talking about a planet named Vectera and someone named Bowden. Never heard of them before.

Something is very wrong with this one.

I reloaded a save, because it felt like an Arbitrary arrest with no triggering witnesses to you committing any crime, it felt unfair and annoying as hell to be forced to go somewhere, and have my successfully stolen loot taken from me.

probably you had contraband on the ship

Yeah that quest is really wierdly triggered. Big Boss talking like im a life long criminal while i didnt even done anything yet, that quest should be triggered when you have done some more crime then just having one piece of contraband on board.

Nope, I was just searching for a junction box and suddenly I got arrested. I didn't have any contrabands. I am even applied for Vanguards.

Yeah I just had the same thing happen. Very odd. Seems buggy. I stole one thing an hour earlier. it was an ornament and the only person who saw me was my companion.

I'm debating reloading as it feels like a bug.

you work as a spy try not to get caught do your best ...tip make sure your ship is strong enough to fight 3 ship

I loaded a previous save halfway through Alternating Currents. I doubled checked I have no bounty. I am wondering if activating the wrong junction box turns something off and you get flagged a criminal.

I had zero problems with that quest. No arrest or anything.

If you have contraband and they find it, you're arrested either way unless you hide it successfully lol

Oh really? Did you not read what i wrote?
The Usec dude litterly talks like i never been doing anything else then Crime stuff, and sending me out as a double agent - wich if it wasnt for the Main Character trope - is a 100% death sentence for everyone else.
And the most wierd part? I didnt even do any crimes whatsoever before! As i said its wierdly triggered.

I didn't have contraband and I told the guy to F off and was sent to jail and never once did it say i lost any items.
Nox Sep 2, 2023 @ 7:13pm
it looks like the quest triggers are probably wrong. It's supposed to be a quest that triggers for people with a criminal background and wanted level.

To add to this i just realized i was flying the Razorleaf (if you know you know) and it has shielded cargo, yeah that quest trigger is broken.

I have another issue with deep cover. After boarding the UC Vigilance at the beginning, I can't do anything. I'm guessing I'm supposed to get in the lift, but the doors wont open. Just stuck there

For the "alternating currents", there's a cleaning bot in the hallway for the final stage of the quest. If you didn't a) stealth open the apartment door or b) close the door to the apartment, you MIGHT have been detected by the bot. That's what happened to me. I forgot to close the apartment door and was "seen" by the bot hacking the computer.
