[EDIT] EXCEPT JUST NOW. I saved to type this comment, leaving myself at the pause menu. Pressed the controller center X button to bring up system menu. Noticed everything working fine. Went back in to game? Works again without exiting first. Huh. Odd.
I thought it might have to do with being over encumbered. I did go into Steam to ensure my stick was in the dead zone, and it is. My dead zones are set to 10000.
I kind of just... stopped thinking about it. I'm not sure if it's happening. Sometimes I notice it and sometimes I can go long sessions without remembering it.
Oh, I was wrong, btw. It happens both forwards and backwards.
It's kinda funny because I've heard complaints about stick drift forever and have always wondered why it's never happened to me. Welp... now it's happening to me. :( I tried turning mouse sensitivity to 0 but no luck.
I dunno! If you figure anything out, I'd be glad to hear about it.
No luck. Just living with it.
Make or open StarfieldCustom.ini at %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Starfield\
and put these settings:
[Controls]
fRThumbDeadzone=0.1
fLThumbDeadzone=0.2
You're awesome!
Wait. There is no folder there. Is it the folder in AppData -> Local -> Starfield?
Weird. I found it. I had to do a quick Google Search, and this came up.
Yep, the path I said... 😄
