make sure to exit the game.
Delete all files in
**NVIDIA**:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\DXCache
**AMD:**
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AMD\DxCache
also delete **Pipeline.cache** in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Starfield\
start game and it should start building shaders...
That’s the fix. Hope it works. Just sort by date and delete everything from past few days. Some won’t let you delete. Just skip over them. Make sure nvidia is shut off and reboot pc before hand just in case. That’s what I did and fixed this horrible issue.
I had the same issue, found the solution on Reddit, tried it out, ops check good.
See you out there, bud.
Unfortunatelly, i dont have g-sync on my monitor, and turning of/on v-sync did nothing for me
I installed the FSRBridge mod from nexus to swap in DLSS for FSR and it completely resolved the serious shader/texture flickering I was getting on a 4080.
Running the game at 1440p Ultra with DLSS now and I'm getting solid performance (70-80fps in outdoor locations). Image quality I think is a step down from a proper implementation with sharpening but its free and working well so far.
Try going to %appdata% -> back one folder then: /Local/Starfield
You may need to only delete the Pipeline.cache file and restart the game
After starting the game it should load the shadow cache again like when you started the game for the first time.
Hope this works for you :)
I can confirm this helped me with the issue we all appeared to be having. Only thing it didn't do was re-install shaders, the game loaded as normal however everything is back to normal😀
as long as this works :D
Hopefully they patch those problems. Would be pain deleting this file once the errors appears again
It doesn't seem to be an Nvidia thing or dependent on the platform (steam, gamepass, etc.). I have tried every "fix" in this thread and the recommendations on the reddit link but nothing is working.

None of the above suggestions helped unfortunately. I'm using a RX 6750 XT. When I switch back to my GTX 1660 super, the issue disappears. If you are seeing a similar issue, please file a ticket with bethesda support. They will prioritize a fix if enough people are seeing similar issues.
