Bad performance on 2080ti?
I have played for a few hours now and the best fps I have seen is 50. Settings are on lowest possible, 50% res, with dlss mod to gain extra 2-5 fps, on 1440p. I ran UBM and here are the results of it https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/63867657 I am at a loss of words on this one as the game on the lowest or highest setting looks like fallout 4 in space. I honestly have no clue why this game runs as poorly as it does. Also whats with the loading screens every 3-5 minutes? really further kills my want to play this game :(

Ive tried a variety of recommended settings online to no avail. Basically just gotten used to the 30-40 console framerates atm (as I do play old emulated games or sims that dont always go 60fps so I can handle it) but would be nice to be able to get consistent fps most of the time.

Here is what I have personally learned comparing it to other recent games.

Baldur's gate 3, I can easily max out everything and I have 60fps constant. Basically zero stuttering. It runs great overall.
But BG3 uses 70-80% of all my CPU cores. And 55% of my GPU.

Meanwhile here is Starfield... Running at what I described bellow, here is it's utilization:
hardly even 20% of my CPU across all cores, none of the cores above 20%.
And hardly 10-20% GPU usage. Power usage also much lower. Basically something is stopping the game from fully utilizing hardware.

whats your CPU ?

I have a 2080ti as well

gpu is hitting 90%
CPU is at roughly 50%-70%

I don't understand how this game is so badly optimized. Then you got goofs saying buy new hardware. Lol got to love it.

i have a 3700X and 2070 super, i really cant play the game, its stupid how bad the game works, i can play any modern game with my rig at 70-90 fps but the best i get in starfield is around 40fps with settings low, i get around 30 in high...

People don't remember that you should be able to run new games on lower settings with older hardware and still maintain a solid fps.

Wich is the fun fact here : there is absolutely no difference in game if I play with everything on ultra with no FSR or DLSS from Nexus, or low with full DLSS and even dynamic resolution. No FPS gain watsoever.

This teel you all youd need to know about this game, really.
I refunded it and I don't think I will miss a lot, I mean 10 loading screen every 15 minutes and nothing to do in space, really, Bethesda..?

I didnt get that far. I turned it off as soon as I saw how bad it ran. Is space really that lame in this ?

it just runs bad on nvidia GPUs. I'm playing on RX6700XT and Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
On demanding areas i get about 50fps
on not so demanding areas over 60fps.
Everything on medium, FSR is off, scale is 100%.

We have to wait for optimization

it's not a big game. The game is split in several areas. It's nothing really demanding
