What is DR top left when you are looking at items

As title says, I assume it's some stat or sorting mechanic but I'm not sure I get it yet. anyone figure it out.

Damage Resistant, I think.

Specifically Physical Damage Resistance. If you’ll notice the DR on the Deep Mining Space Helmet, is the same number as PHYS on the stats listing in the box at the upper right corner when looking at the item.
