Do you have the adoring fan trait it says he gives gifts? Maybe other crew/companions can do as well sort of like how settlers in fo4 randomly give you random things

I believe it's due to random clutter respawning on your ship. If you decide to use the ship builder, when saving changes, a prompt will say that items will be moved to the cargo hold, so that's why it ends up there.

This is the case, and it gets bad when you do it multiply times, I found my ship was mostly full of nothing but clutter after awhile....its so bad

when making another ship your "home ship", it will transfer all cargo from the old to the new one including the misc items in the hold. So if you capture and sell a lot of ships you start accumulating misc items in your hold. I wish each ship had independent cargo that stay with that ship such a pain to manage.

I noticed it too. It happens when you buy, or modify your cargo hold module in the ship building menu. The cargo hold fills up with random items in the misc category

it's all the clutter that comes with the habs modules it just starts building up I just gave up and periodically sell it all now, the ships look a bit less lived in but I don't want a 100 pots and 50 dumbbells in my cargo bay.

I've noticed this, it's so frustrating. They need to sort this in a patch because it becomes tedious after modifying your ship every time! Right now you have to modify your ship sparingly, otherwise you'll spend half an hour sorting it all out.

Yeah i hope they will patch that!
Not because it is filling my Cargo Hold wich is annoying but because the other ship looses a lot flair. Well at least i can use the extra clutter to decorate my appartment a little more.

Whenever you change shops or modify the ship all the decorative items from the old ship go into storage. Helpfully if you add new modules the game generates more decorative junk for you to have in cargo later.

I had to sell something like 300 coffee cups and pencils at one point.

Baffles me that a game this expensive, this many games behind their belt, does not know, or they have to know but happens to not fix it? Brightness slider, fov slider, gamma slider, fullscreen? Running while jumping = head goes to the left bug, Bethesda never changes :steamhappy:

No, that's not it.

This is happening to me, too, and it's always the same junk respawning, no matter how many times I sell it or jettison it. It's always the same Miic items the fill up the hold, regardless.
I don't even have to change ships; that's the weird and annoying part.

Umm its free credits, i noticed it adds up after a while. It's not enough to pay for the ship mods but its a good return. Better then the minimal you get from the registration and selling of the ship. I was farming crimson fleet for a while avoiding the Key quest and just boarding ships over and over again.

whenever you make a change to your ship it puts all clutter in the hold and respawns new default clutter. If you frequently make changes to your ship it starts to add up.

it's because if you change ships everything in your previous one inclusive the captain locker, the crates and the stuff distributed in your ship is added in the cargo of your new ship. This makes the Misc section filled with useless stuff that you need or to jettison or to sell.
