Need help - possible companion glitch?

So, Sarah Morgan won't talk to me.. Whenever I interact with her, she asks "ready to head out there?" I say "Yup I'm ready to go!" and she replies "Looks like someone else needs you first. Finish that up then come back". Cant get past that. I'm currently on 'The Old Neighbourhood' quest. Joined constellation, talked to everyone etc etc. Apparently this is because:

"You are currently on a companion's personal quest. You will need to finish that quest before continuing"

What companion quest?! I haven't spoken to any other companions! Well, besides Vasco, and he doesn't have any quests for me?

Had the same issue: in fact, ain't one. When she tell you this, it means that she is already with you, and the other people who needs help is ... her.

Try going out the lodge, and she if she is following you!

I have had this issue too; the quest "The Old Neighbourhood" seems to progress (I've gone to Mars), but every time I try to talk to Sarah she just says "Ready to head out there?" She is my companion, but I can't use her for storing any equipment or just talking to her.

I'm going to try finishing the quest and hopefully then she'll return to normal, but it's a shame I can't chat to her because I imagine she has some extra dialogue.

I have a problem with not being able to change companions because the gane seems to think that I haven't completed no sudden moves

Did finishing her quest work? I went back into my old saves and it seems if you do the UC vanguard quests before taking her as a companion is bugs out her main quest line but that was 30 hours ago for me I’m not sure if I should push on or restart the game.

Finish the “ go to Neptune” quest( part of the main quest). You’ll collect an artifact and then you’ll head back to The Lodge. Once you walk in, a notification will display the Sarah is no longer your companion. Hand the artifact over and then Sarah will ask if she can rejoin you. Once she becomes your companion again, all dialogue with Sarah is normal. You can trade, talk etc with her.

I suppose you did Vanguard mission first. I mean talked to John and did the application mission. I did that first and this bugged Sarah for me, reloaded, got Sarah first and it's ok now.

The same happened to me and I fixed it by sleeping. (24 local hours)

same bug. Sarah is just unkickable now. No Quests to complete/ no companions to take. Very angry.

I had this issue in a different mission, it ended up I had a follower who couldn’t actually follow me. I asked everyone to come with me until Vasco agreed. It then released the ghost companion. If that helps

I wish she wouldnt talk to me !!! She never shuts up :) Hope yo get it fixed
