4090+13900k on 1440p = 40 fps
If i scale down graphics i can squeeze to 50-60 fps.
Is this normal?
Am i missing something?
All the drivers are up-to-date.

definitely not. Needless to say is that when you are inside a facility in the beginning of the game where nothing is happening and I9 13900k with 4090 are getting those kinda frames is not ,because the game is demanding , it is either ♥♥♥♥ optimization and ♥♥♥♥ graphics engine and/or both. Bethesda, fix this ♥♥♥♥, you were lieing on stage and interviews.!!!!!

I'm getting between 40-60FPS at 1440p on a 3 year old laptop with a 2080 and a I7-9750H

12700K + 4080, Ultra Settings, Crowd Density Low, FSR Off, mostly 70-80 FPS in Crowded Areas (New Atlantis mainly), 100 FPS in Space.

On 1080p tho.

The conclusion I have regarding NVIDIA poor performace is that this game has been made for consoles and is a port to PC. Consoles use AMD, and the FSR options in game (alongside no ray tracing/global illumination not being an option) along with NVIDA laptop cards not recognising as compatible, shows they have purely focused on AMD optimisation so that consoles run it well and ignored the other team.

That said I have a 3090 and 59050x, and get 50-75 (75hz monitor with VSync on) at 1440p. Turn all the scaling and "Dynamic" stuff off, and in the NVidia control panel turn image scaling off as well. You might get a bit of a break.

But there are other things that tell me this game is made as a port, the disgusting space combat control, the same 6 keys used over and over again whilst making other options in menus random keys that are never the same or what would be expected.

But from what AMD card owners have been saying, on a 3090 I wouldn't expect the game to dip below 70fps at any time if a modicum of attention was paid to Nvidia cards in development.

Windows may be trying to use your efficiency cores instead of your performance cores. That issue keeps cropping up with these new Intel chips. If you're still on Windows 10 you should upgrade to 11.

4070ti + 12700k at 4k fsr at 67% render max settings im getting 50-70 fps. something that seems weird to me is that my gpu is mostly at 99% but my watts are only hitting like 215-230. Most other demanding games i play will draw the full power of about 275 watts. so i just find it weird that this game hits 99% usage with only 215 watts at times. Could be the memory bus being a bottle beck but i dont know if that would read out as 99% usage if it was a mem bus hitting its limit. still though at the very least the game is very playing for me.

That's great considering you are a little CPU bottlenecked for that GPU.

3440x1440
4090 and same CPU you have, i get 100fps at ultra settings. Def something wrong there with your setup.

No he is not, expecially not with the 3440x1440 resolution.
CPU would bottleneck the GPU if he was playing at 720p or 1080p.

3820x1600
RTX3090
Ryzen 5950x
64gb memory
samsung 970 evo nvme ssd
testing at New Atlantis
43fps with native res. 50~51fps with dlss mod (77% scale). 47fps with dlss mod + shadowplay
gpu usage stuck in 99% for all test.

Considering that I'm in New Atlantis this is a reasonable performance i guess?
Upscale does work in some way, but not significantly(roughly 20% gain).

mine too, lve got 4090 which maxed out about 530w on some games and mostly around 450 to 480w when max out, but in this game its only using from 280 to 300w

Run Userbenchmark . See how your components are fairing against people with the same stuff. Gives you some insight if components are acting up or if you've optimised your stuff for gaming.

Here's an example of a system that is well maintained and performing above expectations for games.

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/63825313

The FPS averages are night and day on a system that is being maintained to a high standard.

We really don't, at least not on the high end.

7800X3D, 4090, 64GB, 1440p @ 21:9, everything maxed without FSR - 90FPS. There have been a surprisingly large number of posts/threads with performance problems where 13th gen i9 CPUs are mentioned though... but not all of them, the question is if there's something common, like a old chipset driver or not regularly updated / look for, among those.

13900k, 4090, SSD. Performance has been consitant for the most part. 120 to 165 fps, ultra graphics, shadows down a notch, motion blur off, crowd density high. My main issues are unscoping out of ranged scopes in outdoor or more populated indoor areas drops fps to about 20 for 2 seconds, major stutter. Same when using scanner. Also, on planets with high population and vegetation, the gpu load drops intermittently from 99 to 35 give or take depending where I'm looking, drastically dropping frames.
Haze Sep 13, 2023 @ 6:19pm
7800x3d stock, hovers around 4.85/5ghz according to afterburner OSD
6000mhz cl40 32gb 2x ram
Rtx 4090 stock

No stutters, but at the begin of the game i got around 140~ fps at 1440p max no up scale then 80/100 fps in metropolis and around 100/140 average.

Def not perfect but it's getting there, used newest drivers rebar on.
