Weird UI Bug Possibly - Help?

Having a pretty bad bug during the first abandoned outpost mission. I went to pick a lock, then got stuck with the digipick in my face, then I eventually was able to walk around. I can interact with doors and talk with Vasco, but I can't press I to access my inventory, turn on my flashlight or attempt to pick locks anymore. How do I fix this? Am I stuck in an invisible UI or something?

Also, I can't enter 3rd person mode. I really think I'm stuck inside some kind of UI mode.

had exact same problem, opened scanner and went to photomode which let me move around but the game was acting like i was still in the lockpick mode and could open inv, couldnt figure out how to let me do ♥♥♥♥ again without loading last save

OMG, that's literally exactly the problem I'm having. I went into photo mode and I was able to walk around. I can't perform any other important game functions. I was trying to avoid loading a save.

OMG, that's literally exactly the problem I'm having. I went into photo mode and I was able to walk around. I can't perform any other important game functions. I was trying to avoid loading a save.

if you left autosave stuff as default your save should be right there, just need to kill the 3 guys again

I loaded. I just didn't wanna have to loot all the items again. Not the worst thing. I'd still like some more insight in to why that happened. I'm going to start quicksaving before every digipick situation.

As far as third person mode goes, the tutorial says to click mouse 3, but you really just need to scroll. Sounds like a weird bug that I have encountered in other games (as far as locking certain keys or functions) that is ridiculously hard to duplicate. Does restarting the computer correct the issue. or has it locked in to the save game?

If you're using a keyboard that has a third party program to record macros to keys or assign different controls to your mouse, try closing those processes if it seems to be any interaction with the game (persistent) It may just be an accidental press of an unknown hotkey

It wasn't a problem of not knowing how to go into third person mode. I couldn't perform any action that's integral to the game other than interact with doors and Vasco. I was stuck in some sort of invisible UI mode, like lockpicking. I was stuck with the digipick in my face and only got out of it by going into my scanner, then photo mode. I eventually did what the other guy said and loaded the most recent autosave and it got me back to normal.

To solve this, use console command> CycleNextDebugCamera
This puts the camera in a couple different positions viewing your character (for debug purposes) but if you use the command like 3-4 times it will reset you back to normal.
