they told i I'm below spec , and i know the its not the problem u run the game on mid on 120 fps ( dont want high)
i saw on reddit that if you move the game to an ssd it can fix it,
my problem is i dont have one :D
my spec is :
i7-9700F
16 ram
Radeon RX 590 Series
not the best i know but i can run on high red dead 2 adn get solid 60+ fps
This was my solution. I am now running fine on mostly medium settings (although I had to turn off dynamic resolution, since it seemed to cause freezes and possibly a crash), on an i5-3570K. So it can be run on a below spec cpu.
I suspect my issue might result from my pagefile being on a HDD. As others have noted, the freezes came when the CPU usage hit 100%, and that seemed to coincide with heavy swapping activity. Possibly dynamic resolution might result in more swapping due changing texture resolutions? In any case, limiting Starfield's cpu usage to below 100% (I'm using -7% in BES) seems to allow the pagefile to operate smoothly and eliminates the freezes.
V-sync, resizeble bar etc etc, none of this solves anything.
But i see in some areas its fine like when you wandering around on stone surcaces no freezes. But if you come close to npc's than freezes alot. Yesterday i play the whole time without freezes and in the pirates outpost freez after freez.
I will Try today to update my Mainboard and CPU and hope it will fix it. i have a Old Mainboard and old processor. But that the game is that hardware hungry thats huge...
Well i solved it, for me it was the dynamic resolution, i had it to off the game just reactivated it by himself without me noticing it.
how do you use Battle Encoder Shirasé? trying to use it now

It has everything you need to check for and fix if you're having problems running the game. also good for general PC maintenance.
If you're still getting 100% usage, that suggests either a) BES isn't working correctly for some reason, or b) you have background processes that are using up all the spare CPU usage you've freed up by limiting Starfield, and you need to use a more aggressive BES setting (or find and close the problematic process).
To check for a), you could try changing Starfield's core affinities (that's what I did first). Open Task Manager, go to the "Details" tab, find Starfield.exe, right-click, select "Set Affinity", and uncheck one or more boxes (I'd start with "CPU 0", since IIRC some programs need it specifically). Starfield will now be blocked from using those CPU cores, leaving them available for other processes. If you're still getting 100% CPU usage, then something else is definitely needing CPU time, and you'll need to find and close it, or limit Starfield more. Note that changes to processor affinities will reset when you close the game, so you'll either need to repeat every time, or use something like BES.
As for everyone else it's not working for, I'm sure there are other issues with the game too. Hopefully they'll get fixed soon, either by Bethesda or modders.
I use the same and it works a little better for me. Sometimes freeze but not that much anymore.
at this moment i cant really enjoy the game and iam kind of mad that i payed 100 € for a EA version
