It's just as awkward controlling your ship systems with a dpad while using the sticks and triiggers to steer and shoot. IMMERSION.
Keep crying.
10 hrs in and now i am having the same old button bugs that every other game they make has. remapped buttons not working or getting stuck. not able to get to menu screen or leave cockpit. got stuck in the vanguard flight simulator because it would not let me leave. the run button getting stuck on run, you stop and wait start walking but you cont. to loose O2 but at a slower rate. had to find a load screen each time this happens to reset, but at times will start again. go to zoom out on galaxy map so you can go to new star system but it pulls you out of menu even though you clicked and not held......... i can go on and on. i was hoping for a ok game last night i gave it a 80/100, even though i was frustrated with their normal clunky menu system and item management that is all their games..... so frustrated and the thing is they never fixed their KB bugs in other games forced to use a controller, personally i am tired of it.
Because they knew that they could do it and get away with it due to their fanboi army. Look at these forums -- they're filled with minions who will scream "but it's not a space game" at you, even though the game is called Starfield and Bethesda spent an inordinate amount of time focusing on how customizable ships are in the marketing phase. They know what they can get away with, given what their fans have let them get away with in the past, simply put.
lol
i am a left handed player, been gaming since 1990. i have them all, to the point i still use the cyborg strike 7 keyboard, a perfect keyboard for left handed players. sadly it is on it's last legs.

Everything should be remapable...
I mean... COME. ON.
I've played Freelancer, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Freespace, Everspace, X series,...
And I can NOT for the life of me figure out how to even increase or decrease thrust, or even how to roll.
There's is literally nothing about it in the Bindings section.
It's ridiculous.
