Nope...no options to select a joystick as your control device. You can use an Xbox controller, but not a Joystick/Throttle/Rudder pedals. Made me sad, although I'm sure someone will figure out a work around.

Oh! I hadn't really thought about that. I'll do a search and see if that could be a workaround.
Thanks!!

I sorta get that, but I really hate looking for the 'G' key on my keyboard after getting a lock to fire a missile rather than punching the thumb button on my joystick. Or being able to break down their shields with laser fire before opening up with ballistic weapons. And the whole 'W' to increase throttle and 'S' to decrease it feels weird to me when I'm used to jamming the throttle up or down as needed, and hitting the boosters with a quick punch of a button on the throttle....

That may work, since the ground and space have separate bind areas in the controls section. I'll see if there's something in there I can duct tape together until someone comes up with a Joystick/Hotas script; I'm running a G502, so there should be buttons to spare in order to lock up different targets and select the weapons I want to use...
Has anyone else had success with that? I'm out of the game and off to bed...
Thanks! Still can't believe I accidentally sold all the stuff I got out of that base and accidentally bought it all back and blew the credits I worked for, lol! Oh well, I'm off tomorrow and it should easy to go back to the last autosave and do it again

Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, & even No Man's Sky have very little to fear from this game. Boarding disabled ships is brilliant, but not flying through space on your own breaks the whole experience, then to top it off no joystick support.
This will not be the forever game they say they envisioned, because of this DUMB, DUMB, D-U-M-B decision. Could have been a landmark game & whoever decided on this should be flogged, water boarded, then fired.
however the downfall is no auto centreing of the mouse pitch.yaw. I cannot use gremlin/vjoy software as it clashes with other flight controls in Star Citizen. I do have rewasd but it doesn't support hotas yet.
Just a simple mod to have a button recenter the mouse would make it almost passable as hotas flight.
